01Eligibility and acceptance
You may use Alias Draw only if you can legally agree to these Terms and are not prohibited from using the service under applicable law. Alias Draw is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. Users under 13 may not independently create an account or provide personal information.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you and supervise your use. If you use Alias Draw for a school, organization, or other entity, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf and comply with applicable student, children’s, accessibility, and privacy requirements.
02The service
Alias Draw is a real-time drawing and guessing game. A word group may contain multiple accepted scripts, spellings, readings, romanizations, or translations. The service offers guest play, optional accounts, room codes, drawing tools, chat and guesses, scores, premade packs, saved packs, statistics, moderation reports, and game modes.
Accounts are optional for ordinary play. Active rooms are temporary and may end when empty, idle, restarted, or redeployed. Alias matching is based on the entries in the selected pack and normalization rules; it is not a promise that every translation, spelling, or cultural interpretation is complete or correct.
03Accounts and security
You are responsible for choosing an appropriate username, maintaining a unique password, and all activity under your account. Do not share an authentication cookie or use another person’s account without permission. Notify support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Usernames must not impersonate another person or entity, violate rights, mislead others, or contain prohibited content. We may reject, change, or remove a username when reasonably necessary. You can delete your account through the account panel. Deletion is permanent and removes owned saved packs, so shared pack codes may stop working.
04Rooms, invitations, and hosts
Room codes are invitation links, not passwords or guarantees of privacy. Anyone who receives a valid code may attempt to join. Hosts choose settings and can manage participants, roles, teams, pauses, turns, and classroom controls. Host tools are provided for convenience and do not make Alias Draw responsible for a host’s decisions.
Hosts should invite only appropriate participants, explain applicable room rules, supervise classroom or youth use, and remove abusive users when safe to do so. Participants must respect host decisions that are consistent with these Terms. Do not use Alias Draw for confidential, regulated, emergency, or high-risk communications.
05Your content and license
“User Content” includes display names, drawings, guesses, chat messages, custom aliases, saved packs, pack names, and reports you submit. You retain ownership of rights you have in User Content.
You grant Alias Draw a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit, display, and otherwise process User Content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, support, and improve the service. For a saved pack, this license continues while the pack remains stored and allows anyone with its code to retrieve and use it. The license ends when content is deleted, except for temporary backups, legal retention, security records, and anonymized moderation history.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit User Content and that its use through Alias Draw will not violate law or another person’s rights. Do not submit personal information about someone else without a valid reason and permission.
06Acceptable use
You must not use Alias Draw to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, or expose another person’s private information.
- Create or distribute hateful, sexually exploitative, violent, illegal, fraudulent, or deliberately harmful content.
- Sexualize minors or submit child sexual abuse material. Suspected illegal material may be preserved and reported as required by law.
- Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Impersonate others, misrepresent affiliation, evade moderation, or manipulate scores or game state.
- Probe, scan, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, introduce malware, automate abusive traffic, or interfere with other users.
- Collect, scrape, sell, or profile player information without a valid legal basis and permission.
- Use room codes or pack codes to gain access you know was not intended for you.
- Use the service in violation of sanctions, export controls, court orders, or other applicable law.
Friendly competition and playful drawings are welcome. Abuse disguised as a joke is still abuse.
07Word packs, aliases, and reports
Premade and user-created packs may contain mistakes, omissions, regional differences, outdated terminology, or words that are difficult to draw. Accepted aliases are gameplay aids, not authoritative translations, dictionaries, language instruction, or cultural advice.
Saved-pack codes are public-by-code. Anyone with the code can retrieve the content and owner username. Pack owners are responsible for their submissions and may delete their packs. Reports are signals for review, not proof of wrongdoing. We may correct, restrict, remove, or preserve pack content when reasonably needed for quality, safety, legal compliance, or investigation.
08Alias Draw property
The service, software, visual design, branding, original graphics, premade pack compilation, and other Alias Draw materials are owned by or licensed to the operator and protected by applicable law. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership or authorize copying, resale, sublicensing, or creation of a competing service from protected materials.
Feedback may be used without restriction or compensation, but we are not required to implement it.
09Third-party infrastructure and links
Alias Draw relies on third-party infrastructure, including Northflank and Cloudflare. Their outages, security measures, policies, and service changes may affect Alias Draw. Links to another website do not mean we endorse or control it. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.
10Changes, updates, and availability
We may add, change, test, suspend, or discontinue features, limits, game modes, packs, or the service itself. We may deploy without preserving active rooms or drawings. We do not promise continuous availability, a particular capacity, permanent storage, compatibility with every browser, or that every error will be corrected.
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and effective date. Continued use after the new date means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law. Material changes may receive additional notice when reasonably required.
11Suspension and termination
You may stop using Alias Draw at any time and may delete an optional account. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access; close rooms; remove content; or block traffic when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or infrastructure, respond to legal requirements, investigate abuse, or maintain the service. Where practical and appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to appeal through support.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and legal provisions, remain in effect.
12Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alias Draw is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant user content, translations, aliases, moderation outcomes, availability, security against every threat, or preservation of rooms and drawings.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
13Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alias Draw and its operator, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, content, goodwill, access, opportunity, or profits arising from the service, even if advised that such damage is possible.
Because Alias Draw is currently provided without charge, total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Alias Draw during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $25. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
14Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, if you use Alias Draw on behalf of an organization or in a commercial or institutional capacity, you will defend and indemnify the Alias Draw operator against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights. This provision does not apply to individual consumers where prohibited by law.
15Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws that validly apply to the relationship between you and the Alias Draw operator, without overriding mandatory consumer protections available in your place of residence. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact Support@sailyapp.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally. This informal step does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or using a regulator, small-claims process, or other right that cannot be waived.
16General terms
If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization or transfer of the service. Headings are for convenience. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about Alias Draw unless a separate written agreement applies.
